Mini showed the concept of a small roadster in cooperation with a well-known body shop

A minimalist yet emotional way of transportation . This is to embody the latest Mini concept, produced in collaboration with the Touring Superleggera body shop . The two- seater Superleggera Vision roadster is not unlike the Mazda MX-5 and will be seen for the first time by visitors to the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este show.

The handcrafted bodywork features classic British design with an Italian twist . Short overhangs, a long hood, a wide wheel track and a long wheelbase can turn the small Mini into a real piece of car at first glance. While the front parts are based on the previously introduced Mini Vision , the rear is completely new and in the form of lights, each representing half of the British flag, referring to the British origin of the car . An interesting detail is also the low windshield, which does not contain a frame. Most of the Como Blue bodywork is made of aluminum, carbon was used for the front splitter, and plastic reinforced for the side skirts and rear diffuser behind the carbon.

Minimalism, mentioned in the very first sentence of this article, can be fully found above all in the interior . Covered in aluminium, which is unpainted to evoke the bodywork of an unpainted racing car, the dashboard contains only the steering wheel and a digital speedometer in front of it , and a centrally located multimedia system with an analogue clock on the right and a camera placed on the driver and passenger on the left. The anatomical seats are upholstered in high-quality black leather , while the rest of the interior is covered in a beige shade of leather.

As far as technology is concerned, we only know that the two-seater roadster is powered by a single electric motor powered by unspecified batteries. The Superleggera Vision concept is not yet going into production .
