Porsche 965 prototype V8

Porsche decided to let its fans look under the hood and show some of the prototypes and concepts they have hidden in the bowels of the automaker. Now they present to us the type 965 .

Classic 911 types had flat six cylinders. But the company did not rest on its laurels and tried different types of engines. The head of the Porsche museum depository, Dieter Landenberger , presents the type 965 to us in a short video. It is a prototype of the 911 model with a water-cooled V8 engine from the car manufacturer Audi . As can be seen from the appearance of the car, it was supposed to be the successor of the legendary 959 , which would of course be cheaper. However, only a single piece exists, still camouflaged from when it was tested in regular service.
