The stand of the German Volkswagen will be really busy at this year's Beijing Auto Show . In addition to the conceptual four-door coupe based on the Golf and the strengthened Golf R , we will also see the modernized Touareg SUV .
Changes to the body are not at all dramatic – Volkswagen applied a new grille , which is already used by several models of the concern, bi-xenon lights for all trim levels and also reached for new bumpers on both ends of the body. The color palette has been expanded by five new shades , the range of bikes has grown by two representatives.
In the interior, you can primarily choose from new leather colors , decorative moldings, and you will also get several new buttons for turning the steering wheel and rear window heating on or off. All controls in the car are then backlit in white instead of red.
Three petrol (V6 FSI, V6 TSI and V8 FSI), three diesel (V6 TDI and V8 TDI) and one hybrid (V6 TSI + electric motor) powertrains continue under the hood. Europe will not get gasoline engines and will have to settle for diesels – the weaker V6 TDI has a power of 204 hp, the stronger V6 TDI has increased to 258 hp and the V8 TDI has 340 hp – and a hybrid that has a combined output of 380 hp. All engines comply with the Euro 6 emission standard , the V6 TDI received an SCR-DPF catalyst for this reason, and are connected to all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic.
