Citroën C-Elysée – another to the party

Compact sedans have been on a tear lately. At the end of May, the attractive Peugeot 301 was presented to us . We also have the sibling duo of the Volkswagen concern – Seat Toledo and Skoda Rapid (although in this case it is a liftback) and to make matters worse, Citröen also contributed a little water to the mill with the C-Elysée model .

Citröen C-Elysée , which is structurally based on the aforementioned Peugeot, will target its future clientele primarily with an interesting price and an attractive design. The vehicle is 4.43 meters long, 1.7 meters wide, 1.47 meters high and has a wheelbase of 2.65 meters. The attractive coat is made according to the current French fashion, which, in addition to style, also thinks about practicality. The volume of the luggage compartment should be the same as in the case of Peugeot, a very respectable 506 liters. The automaker has not yet released photos of the interior, so we can only guess what it will look like. What is certain, however, is that practically nothing will be missing from the comfort elements. For an additional fee, customers can enjoy dual-zone air conditioning, Bluetooth hands-free, rear parking cameras or GPS navigation.

And what customers will find under the hood. The basis of the range of power units will be a 1.2 VTi three-cylinder petrol engine with an output of 53 kW (72 hp) and a torque of 110 Nm. A manual five-speed gearbox will be standard, which can be exchanged for a robotic five-speed gearbox for an additional fee.

A more powerful alternative will be the naturally aspirated 1.6 VTi 115 with an output of 85 kW (115 hp). The third power unit in the new Citröen's range will be the 1.6 HDi diesel engine with an output of 68 kW (92 hp). The main advantage of this engine will be the low value of the combined consumption, which should be around 4.1 liters for every 100 kilometers.
