Dodge had a massive facelift in New York and, in addition to the slightly modified Charger sedan , also showed a new version of the Challenger coupe . It is less dramatic than the sedan and takes its cue from the classic Challengers of the 1970s .
You can tell by the design of the front part with a newly divided radiator mask and a new hood, everything then continues to the back, where we find divided LED lights. Modern diodes also use new fog lamps. The offer of body paint and wheel designs was also expanded. In the interior, there was a new center console with an 8.4-inch screen of the Uconnect multimedia system and a seven-inch display between the classic alarm clocks. Those who don't feel like the most powerful eight-cylinder Hemi can go for a weaker version labeled R/T , R/T Plus , R/T Shaker or R/T Plus Shaker . In any case, it will receive a 5.7-liter eight-cylinder Hemi with a power of 380 horsepower and a torque of 556 Nm. These variants are also equipped with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic. The role of the basic engine is performed by the six-cylinder Pentastar with an output of 309 horsepower in the SXT and SXT Plus versions.
Standard on all Shaker-badged models is the Super Track Pack with a modified chassis, Goodyear Eagle F1 tires, sport seats and black graphic decals. All versions of the Challenger have stability control and electric power steering , and as for safety assistants , the Challenger can be equipped with, for example, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning or blind spot monitoring.
