Ford and General Motors are both Detroit companies, but also traditional rivals on the American market in practically all segments. But they competed the most in the prestigious muscle car category with their Mustang and Camaro models.
Chevrolet greatly appreciates this healthy rivalry, which has steadily strengthened the market for both manufacturers. The rivalry has allowed these cars to constantly evolve and improve, and both companies are well aware that the success of their car probably wouldn't exist without the existence of the other. General Motors has now shown a sense of humor and released its own congratulatory message, wishing the two companies another 50 years of healthy rivalry.
