The modernized Nissan Juke looks almost the same as the old one

After the announcement of the modernization of the Nissan Juke , its die-hard fans began to fear that it would lose its typical "geek" look . Fortunately, these speculations were not confirmed and Nissan once again showed that it can modernize with feeling .

The body changed only in the details – the upper part of the front lights is now equipped with LED diodes for daytime running lights, the circular main lights received xenon lamps. Also new are the two bumpers, which can be equipped with elements in the body color , and the graphics of the rear lights, made up of LEDs. And while we are talking about body colors, Nissan has expanded not only their offer, but also the portfolio of alloy wheels and individualization packages, within which you can get, for example, decorative moldings or a new interior color scheme . Families will certainly welcome the increase in the volume of the front-wheel luggage compartment to 345 litres.

The most important change, however, is the installation of a turbocharged 12-liter DIG-T , which replaces the older 16-liter, with a power of 115 hp and a torque of 190 Nm. With the stop/start system and standard front-wheel drive (four-wheel drive will not be available for this engine), the 1.2 consumes only 5.5 l/100 km. The existing 1.6 DIG-T petrol unit has also undergone a change, which now delivers higher torque even at low speeds below 2000 rpm. Among the new elements, in addition to Euro 6 compliance, we also find a higher combustion ratio (increased from 9.5 to 10.5:1), improved low-friction technologies and recirculation of cooled exhaust gases . The offer includes the 1.6 DIG-T with manual and automatic M-CVT transmissions and front or all-wheel drive.

For those interested in a sporty ride, Nissan has prepared the new Juke Nismo RS , which has the same turbocharged DIG-T six-cylinder as the standard Nismo, but the power is 18 hp higher and the torque is 30 Nm higher in the version with a manual transmission and front-wheel drive. The front wheel also finally received a mechanical self-locking differential , without which the four -wheel drive can do without, but it only offers 250 Nm of torque and, moreover, only the M-CVT automatic, which now has shift paddles located under the steering wheel as standard equipment, which control the eight-speed manual shift.

Compared to the classic Nismo, the bodywork was also strengthened , the brakes were tuned with front discs with a diameter of 320 mm and rear discs with cooling, and the shock absorbers and suspension were adjusted. Visually, the Nismo RS is distinguished by discreet RS badges on the body, red brake calipers with RS logo and a tachometer with RS logo. The device compartment is additionally covered with a suede shield. Compared to the classic Juke, the range of body colors has been reduced to three (pearl white, metallic black and silver grey), the interior can only be black.
