Infiniti at the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed

The UK-designed Infiniti EMERG-E, the first road-going concept, will make its world debut when driving up a hill at this year's 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed

Jerry Hardcastle, Global Chief Marketability Engineer, states: “At the Festival of Speed, attendees will be able to see the Infiniti EMERG-E in action for the first time in history, before many of the company's management representatives see it. Visitors to Goodwood can look forward not only to exquisite design, but also to our and our partners' technologies for environmentally friendly cars."

Arriving at the Earl of March estate will be the Infiniti FX Vettel edition – the most exclusive SUV of which only 50 units will be available in Europe. Lighter and more aerodynamic, with 30% more downforce and 420 horsepower under the hood, the FX version of Vettel is no different from the concept presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show and represents Infiniti's most powerful yet most expensive model. The Goodwood Festival will be the first place to see the model live in action, and it will go on sale in the first quarter of 2013.

Only one man can drive the Infiniti FX edition Vettel in the hillclimb, and that is the two-time F1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel himself. Sebastian will show off the model bearing his name in front of crowds at Goodwood on Saturday. His Red Bull Racing teammate Mark Webber will drive the Infiniti EMRG-E on Sunday.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed 2012 starts already on June 28, tickets are available here .
