Jaguar introduced its own competition to BMW with the M package

Jaguar with the XF model is quite successfully trying to compete with the BMW 5 series from Munich . Compared to it, however, the British model had one big handicap – the missing version with a visually more aggressive body , but a classic diesel engine .

However, thanks to the R-Sport version , even this handicap is forgotten. Visually, you will find a new front bumper on the body, modified side skirts, a discreet rear spoiler, seventeen-inch Ursa wheels and badges referring to the model's origin. The interior offers new seats with stitching in Dove, Tan or Red. The center console can be embellished with dark oak, carbon or piano black decor, complemented by R-Sport badges or an optional panoramic window.

Under the hood, a 2.2-liter diesel with a power of 163 hp and a torque of 400 Nm will appear. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels by an eight-speed automatic transmission , which allows the sedan or station wagon to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds and a maximum speed of 209 km/h. Consumption is, perhaps thanks to the stop/start system, at a pleasant 4.9 l/100 km , while CO2 emissions have dropped to 129 g/km.
