Lexus GS 300h – 2014 Residual Value Champion

The German motoring magazine AutoBild awarded the Lexus GS 300h the title of Residual Value Champion for 2014. The GS 300h thus took the imaginary crown from the 2013 champion, which was the Lexus GS 450h .

The GS 300h luxury sedan with full hybrid drive benefits from the lowest percentage drop in vehicle value in its class. The result shows that full hybrid drive technology benefits the owner 's budget not only in terms of fuel consumption and service costs, but also in terms of residual value . It is another proof of the leading position of the Lexus car company in the field of fully hybrid drives , which are gaining an ever-increasing number of supporters from among customers and are gradually establishing themselves as an economical and ecological alternative to traditional powertrains.

For the 11th year in a row, AutoBild magazine has asked residual value experts from the Schwacke agency about the lowest absolute and percentage decline in a car's value after four years of use . The rating is based on an annual mileage of 20,000 km and takes into account the price of the vehicle and the relevant maintenance costs. The residual value forecast also reflects the quality and design of the given model.

The GS 300h is the second model in the GS series equipped with Lexus Hybrid Drive . The GS 300h 's full-hybrid powertrain combines an Atkinson-cycle in -line four-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor for a total system output of 164 kW (223 hp). Average fuel consumption is 4.7 l per 100 km , which corresponds to CO2 emissions of just 109 g/km .
