Is Renault planning a sharper Clio RS?

Among other things, the French Renault is also known for its cool hot hatches , which have lined its product line for several decades. However, the latest addition to the Clio RS has failed to live up to expectations and many are even calling it a disappointment. The brand management is aware of this problem and allows for possible changes .

Renault representatives have officially admitted that the new Clio RS was developed to appeal to a larger percentage of customers, which is why the fun of the car probably suffered as a result. Many complain about the absence of a manual transmission , and in a number of comparative tests the French hot hatch lags behind the rival Ford Fiesta ST . AutoExpress spoke to Renault's vice president of product planning , Philippe Klein , to find out more.

Klein stated, “ Ultimately we listen to our customers, we may make some changes to the car over time. Of course, an upgraded version will come later, and you might see some more specific versions. This adds to the speculation about the arrival of the Gordini version, which will finally live up to the history of the name and become a really sharp Clio .

However, more details are not yet available, so we have to wait for what Renault will present in the end. We just hope that the sharper Clio will really come and once again stand at the imaginary top of hot hatches in the B segment, or at least compete with the successful Fiesta ST for this post.
