Nissan has unveiled a new look for London taxis

Classic black LTI cabs have been associated with London for decades. At the end of the year, however, they will slowly begin to be replaced by new taxis, the production of which is the responsibility of the Japanese Nissan . He tried to give the redesigned NV200 station wagon a very distinctive face.

And you can see how he did it in the attached gallery. The entire front end is new, and according to the press release, it should follow the classic design of London taxis . The large lights of the classic NV200 have been replaced by a pair of round reflectors , and in combination with the large radiator grille, you would be hard-pressed to find a family station wagon in this car. The inscription "TAXI" is illuminated with LED diodes in the spirit of fashion.

Production is scheduled to begin in December this year , with a 16 -cylinder gasoline engine combined with an automatic transmission under the hood. Combined consumption should reach around 7 l/100 km. In 2015, the gasoline version will be supplemented by a purely electric one with the designation e-NV200, which you can recognize, for example, by the different radiator grille.

If you are wondering how much one such "taxi" costs, then know that it is roughly 30,000 pounds (approx. 994,000 CZK).
