We have heard about the Ford Focus ST many times throughout its existence, and although a handful of drivers may have been bothered by the noticeable pulling on the steering wheel during acceleration, I consider it a characteristic feature. Plus, the new ST looks really fantastic, and that makes me glad we already know its base price. For the time being, this applies only to the British Isles, converted from 21,995 pounds to crowns, but we can easily derive the approximate price on the Czech market. Compared to the previous version, there is also the possibility of buying a practical station wagon, which costs 1100 pounds more. Prices in the Czech Republic could therefore start at 700,000 crowns.
The new Ford Focus ST will no longer be powered by Volvo 's bloated 2.5-liter five-cylinder, but a new turbocharged two-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder. It transmits 184 kW of power to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transmission, and since it is a large herd, a number of safety systems will keep a protective hand over it. Among the most important, we can mention, for example, the electronic replacement of the torque steer compensation and Torque Vectoring Control , or the driving stability control system, which can be adjusted in three modes.
The interior does not lack any of the fads of the previous generation. Personally, I am very much looking forward to the fantastic Recaro sports seats, the hand-fitting shift knob and the top compartment with important indicators. However, I am a little disappointed with the four-spoke steering wheel, which looks the same on all versions of the Focus .
