Mercedes introduced the Sprinter with all-wheel drive

We have known the modernized form of one of the most popular vans today, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter , for about a month now. Just in time, the Stuttgart-based carmaker launches a version with four-wheel drive .

You can activate it for an additional fee of 8,391 euros (approx. 230,000 CZK) by simply pressing a button in the cabin, when the front axle is automatically connected to the rear axle. The equipment also includes 4ETS traction control , which automatically brakes spinning wheels. For an additional fee, Mercedes offers Hill Descent Assistant, Hill Start Assistant, reduction gearbox and off-road tires.

The Sprinter 4×4 has a standard ground clearance of 11 cm at the front and 8 cm at the rear. Three diesel engines are used for propulsion – the 2.1 has a power of 129 hp and a torque of 305 Nm or 163 hp and 360 Nm, a three-liter six-cylinder offers 190 hp and 440 Nm of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, and a five-speed automatic is available for an extra charge.
