Hyundai has updated the Veloster and added a new version to the range

The Hyundai Veloster is not exactly a top seller in Europe, which partly explains our recent test of the Turbo version . In other countries, however, the atypical coupe is doing quite well, so the Korean automaker is coming up with an improved version for the 2014 model year .

The standard Veloster gets daytime running lights, driver-side blind spot monitoring, a new rear camera and three years of free Assurance Connected Care . The Turbo version received Active Sound Design systems, which better convey the sound of the engine to the cabin, and Torque Vectoring Control , which cooperates with stability control and together help to brake the inside front wheel in corners.

In addition to partial improvements, the Turbo version also received a new R-Spec version . The latter mainly offers better tuning of the chassis, retuned steering and a six-speed manual transmission with shorter shifting paths and a new-looking shifter head. R-Spec logos and new seats in the interior have been added. Under the hood is the same turbocharged 204-horsepower 16 -liter engine as in the standard model.
