Nissan Sentra Nismo Concept 2013 – Pearly Nismo!

The transformation of the Nismo sports division into a creator of fast production Nissans is not a lengthy process, and the manufacturer is churning out one new product after another. This week alone, two series models ( Juke Nismo RS , GT-R Nismo ) and one concept ( IDX Nismo ) were presented. Next in line is now the concept of a sharp version of the Sentra sedan.

At first glance, it is clear that this is a car from Nismo . The concept Sentra received a rich body kit in the characteristic color combination of white paint with red and black carbon fiber details with a glossy finish. At the front, the car has a widened bumper with larger air intakes, a new grille and darkened headlights with LED daytime running lights. On the side of the Sentry Nismo, we find new covers for the rear-view mirrors, extended fender skirts and distinctive sills. At the rear, there is a discreet spoiler, blacked-out lamps and a bumper with a diffuser deliberately reminiscent of the 370Z coupe.

Under the hood of the concept, we find a turbocharged four-cylinder originally from the Juke Nismo RS , the volume of which has been increased to 1.8 liters . The stated power is over 240 horsepower and the torque is 325Nm . The unit is mated to a six-speed manual transmission , and Nismo also supplies a limited-slip differential . Of course, the chassis received strengthening and sports shock absorbers and springs. Brakes with red calipers are supplied by Brembo . The lightweight aluminum alloy wheels measure 19 inches and wear 225/35 R19 Michelin Super Sport tires.

The Nismo division has not forgotten the interior either, where we find Recaro front seats and rich black leather and Alcantara upholstery, including the rear seats and the ceiling. The steering wheel and gear lever head are also new. The dashboard is decorated in dark chrome, while the instrument panel features carbon elements with red frames for the speedometer and the start button.

Nissan has yet to say whether the Sentra Nismo will see production, but we'd love to hear about it. Although the car, like the production Sentra , would only be sold in the US and this version would not reach us in Europe…
