Nissan has unveiled the top model of its Juke range

A sportier version of the Nissan Juke Nismo was announced long in advance. However, those who were excited about a good portion of performance will almost certainly be disappointed by the following lines, because the Juke Nismo RS does not offer such a boost…

Under the hood is the same turbocharged 16 -liter as in the classic Nismo, with the difference that in the RS the engine has a new exhaust system and a reprogrammed control unit, which raised the power to 218 hp and torque to 284 Nm (available between 3600 – 4800 rpm) . Compared to the standard model, this means an increase of 18 hp and 35 Nm, which is really not much. Moreover, these values only apply to the version with front-wheel drive and a six-speed manual. If you choose the automatic and all-wheel drive, the Juke Nismo RS will have 214 horsepower and 249 Nm of torque available between 2400-6000 rpm.

The secret of the Nisma RS lies in the rendering of the front part, which is up to 37% more aerodynamic than before. Other visual changes include eighteen-inch wheels with Continental ContiSportContact5 tires and an enlarged air intake to the engine. Inside, the sporty Recara in a black-red combination and an alcantara steering wheel with red stitching have their place. The color range was limited to white Pearl, silver Brilliant and black Sapphire.

The Juke Nismo RS will go on sale in the first quarter of next year .
