Honda has modernized the American version of the Civic Coupé

Not so long ago, the American Honda dealership had to significantly modernize the ninth-generation Civic in the sedan version. After a year since this event, enough time has passed for the derivative coupe to receive a facelift.

Design changes bring more aggressive shaping of the front and rear bumpers, a new radiator grille, modified hood, fenders and new front and rear light optics. Compared to the classic coupe, the sporty version of the Si has a lower front bumper, a discreet rear spoiler and a rear diffuser. Si also offers larger wheels.

On the technical side, we have to settle for now with the information that the 2014 Civic Si Coupé will get a modified exhaust system that will increase the output of its 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine by 4 horsepower and 5 Nm of torque. The result is a power of 208 horsepower and a torque of 235 Nm.

Despite the premiere at the SEMA Show , we will learn more information in two weeks at the auto show in LA , where we will hopefully also have a look at the interior of the compact coupe.
