Jeep Grand Wagoneer – The luxury SUV is back!

The American concern Chrysler , under the supervision of the Italian Fiat , is planning a significant modernization of existing models and the arrival of several new ones. A luxury SUV called the Grand Wagoneer could return in a few years. However, this could cause problems for Dodge 's Durango

The origins of the Jeep Grand Wagoneer date back to the end of 1962, when the luxury version of the Wagoneer began to emerge. The designation Grand Wagoneer as such has been used by Jeep since 1984 (photo in the gallery). The car remained in production until 1991, when it was indirectly replaced by the Grand Cherokee the following year. Jeep later attempted to return to the three-row large SUV segment with the Commander , but was unsuccessful. The new attempt is to be a returner with the Grand Wagoneer .

The arrival of the new Jeep Grand Wagoneer has been pushed back a few years to give the updated Dodge Durango a chance to acclimate to the market this year. But the Grand Wagoneer will be the biggest threat to the big Dodge . The Chrysler concern will probably not want to compete with itself, so it is very likely that after the arrival of the new Jeep , Durango 's career will be over. However, it has not yet been officially confirmed.

We could expect the Jeep Grand Wagoneer at the turn of 2015 and 2016, while it will be placed at the very top of the brand's offer and will allegedly compete in the market with cars like the Cadillac Escalade or the Lincoln Navigator.
