The Suzuki booth in Tokyo will be packed

The Tokyo Motor Show is fast approaching, and Japanese automakers in particular are starting to reveal their trump cards. Suzuki wants to show off with four new concepts on its stand.

The Crosshiker crossover is a close relative of the Regina concept , which debuted in Tokyo two years ago. Both cars share some design elements and above all a light platform. Thanks to it, the Crosshike weighs only 810 kg and, in combination with the brand's newly developed three-liter three-cylinder, offers a perfect balance between performance and environmental friendliness.

The adventurous-looking off-road X-Lander is based on the Jimny off-road model platform and offers a waterproof interior in addition to an open body. The drive is handled by a hybrid system consisting of a 13-litre petrol engine and an electric motor built into the all-wheel drive. Suzuki boasts that the X-Lander is the first car of the brand to receive an automatically controlled manual transmission.

The angular Hustler will be presented in Tokyo in two body styles. The compact hatchback with SUV elements will be complemented by a more dynamic-looking variant, which Suzuki calls Huslter Coupé . The classic Hustler weighs around 790 kg and, in addition to the intelligent stop/start system, also offers several assistants, which are more typical for cars in the SUV category. Compared to the hatchback, the coupe mainly offers sportier design elements, it can also be assumed that the technologies used will not differ significantly.
