The official presentation of the new two-door BMW representative, the 2 Series Coupe , is almost here. However, just before that, official images of the top variant of the M235i Coupe leaked onto the internet, and of course we have them for you!
We actually already know everything essential about the new BMW 2 Series Coupe , as the basic technical information leaked already at the beginning of this month. In the middle of the year, we even brought spy shots of the unmasked M235i Coupe .
The 2 Series Coupe in the range of the Munich brand will replace the retired 1 Series Coupe . In terms of design, the novelty is different not only from its predecessor, but also from the standard hatchback of the 1 series . Which, in my opinion, is very good, because the hatchback looks quite confused, especially from the front view. Fortunately, the novelty has a sympathetically predatory expression .
Under the hood of the M235i Coupe will be the same engine that works in the M135i , i.e. a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder. This unit produces 322 hp and 450 Nm . Two transmissions will be available – a six-speed manual and an eight-speed automatic . The first allows the car to accelerate from rest to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds , the second shortens the time to 4.8 seconds. The rear wheels are driven and the car weighs around 1,470 kg .
