Opel introduced another engine variant of the Zafira Tourer

The Opel Zafira Tourer recently received three engines. After the 1.6 CDTI and 2.0 CDTI BiTurbo diesels , fans of gasoline units have finally arrived.

The Zafira got a supercharged four-cylinder 1.6 SIDI Turbo with a power of 200 horsepower under the hood, which is also offered by the Cascada convertible . The maximum torque of 300 Nm is available between 1700 – 4700 rpm and in combination with the new six-speed manual gearbox , the Zafira Tourer reaches 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds and the speedometer needle attacks the 225 km/h mark.

The good news is that performance doesn't have to be at the expense of high consumption . In the combined cycle, according to the automaker, it consumes exactly seven liters and emits 164 g of CO2/km into the atmosphere. The heart of the engine is a cast-iron block and an aluminum base plate, compared to the weaker version with a power of 170 hp, the novelty has a reduced compression ratio from 10.5:1 to 9.5:1.

You can recognize the new engine by the red Turbo logo on the fifth door and the seventeen- to nineteen-inch wheels. Sales in the Czech Republic are already underway, the basic price of the 1.6 SIDI Turbo in the Enjoy trim (also available for Active and Cosmo) is, with the current promotional discount of CZK 103,000, CZK 529,900 .
