Mazda will offer the Model 3 in a hybrid variant

Sales of the new generation Mazda3 are already underway in most European countries. However, Japan will not see the model until November under the old name Axela . In addition to the classic Skyactiv combustion engines that we also know from our roads, the Axela will also be available as a hybrid .

Under its hood, the Skyactiv-Hybrid powertrain will appear, combining a 99-horsepower 2.0 Skyactiv-G four-cylinder gasoline engine and an 82-horsepower electric motor. In combined operation, the Axela Hybrid has a maximum output of 140 hp and will be transmitted to the front wheels by an eCVT transmission.

In the combined cycle according to the JC08 methodology , the novelty consumes only 3.2 l/100 km, but it will only be available as a sedan. The base price on the Japanese market was set at ¥2,373,000 (approx. CZK 454,000).

In addition to the hybrid model, a four-wheel drive version will also be a specialty for the Japanese market. The four-wheeler will be available exclusively in combination with the 1.5 Skyactiv-G four-cylinder gasoline engine with a power of 112 hp, and you can choose from a hatchback or a sedan body.
