New variant of Lexus GS

After Shanghai, China, where the Lexus GS 300h headed in April this year, this hybrid sedan also found its way to Europe. At the Lexus stand in Frankfurt , it thus complements the LF-NX concept SUV .

The Lexus GS 300h is equipped with a classic 2.5 combustion engine with an output of 181 hp at 6000 rpm, which works in the Atkinson cycle, and an electric motor with an output of 143 hp. The maximum output of the upper middle-class sedan is 223 horses, which are sent to the rear axle via an ECVT automatic .

Despite its size, Lexus expects the 300h to consume just 4.7L/100km in combined mode and emit 109g of CO2/km. You can't tell the visually weaker hybrid from the other "gées". If you want to stand out, Lexus has prepared the F Sport design package , which offers LED fog lights, sportier bumpers and specific body colors F White, Starlight Black and Midnight Blue.

As part of the fourth generation GS, the 300h introduces several elements for the first time. These include the economical S-Flow air conditioning system , the Remote Touch Interface system, which in the GS is connected to one of the largest information screens in regular cars and a color Head-Up Display with projection onto the windshield. The gearbox selector is also new.

Among the security systems in the GS 300h, you will find a night vision system, adaptive cruise control , lane departure warning and an RCTA warning system that monitors the car's surroundings when backing up and warns the driver in advance of an approaching moving obstacle, cooperating with the blind spot monitoring system.
