Opel showed the modernized Insignia OPC

At the beginning of June, Opel showed the face of the modernized Insignia , followed some time later by the "off-road" version of the Country Tourer . The Insignia range is rounded off by the sports version of the OPC presented today.

The design changes are roughly the same range as on the standard Insignia . Expect new front and rear lights, modified bumpers or a new radiator grille. More changes took place in the interior, where the sporty Opel received a new steering wheel , a modified instrument panel with a digital speedometer and, modeled on the classic Insignia, a new center console with an eight-inch display of the multimedia system.

Under the hood, everything remained the same. The six-cylinder 2.8 produces 325 hp and 435 Nm of torque. All-wheel drive is still available in conjunction with a six-speed manual transmission (an automatic with paddles under the steering wheel is also available as an option). This combination will allow the Insignia OPC to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in exactly 6 seconds (Sports Tourer in 6.3 s) and a maximum speed of 250 km/h limited by an electronic limiter . However, it can be unlocked for an additional fee and increase the speed by 20 km/h, or 15 km/h in the case of a station wagon.

The FlexRide chassis received modifications. It should now be safer, thanks to the new shock absorbers, and at the same time should provide better driving characteristics. ESP was also recalibrated for the same reasons.
