Abarth 695 Competizione presented not Frankfurt

Abarth's philosophy is more than simple: "We'll take a Fiat, preferably the smallest one, throw away everything we can, add proper wheels, a supercharged engine, stick on logos with a scorpion image and throw the whole thing in the craziest paint job". This philosophy has been more than typical for Abarth throughout its existence, even if over time the new cars lose their craziness compared to the old ones. In any case, sharp Italian hatchbacks are increasingly sought-after wagons, which is also played into the cards by the brand's newly opened Czech representation, which eliminates endless battles with individual imports.

At this year's International Motor Show in Frankfurt, Abarth came up with another alternative to the popular Fiat 500. And why not? Do you know something more stylish that deserves to wear that mystical emblem on the hood?

At first glance, of course, the striking body kit, wrapped in a special Grigio Competizione Opaco paint, complete with a checkerboard on the roof, catches the eye. Performance modifications also include sports suspension, special 17" alloy wheels and sharp Brembo disc brakes.

Inside, customers can look forward to high-end Sabelt racing seats, carbon fiber dashboard trim and a unique plaque with each car's serial number. The fact that this is not a completely ordinary car is also evidenced by the absence of a rear bench, which was replaced by a slatted structure.

The power of the Abarth 695 Competizione is supplied by a turbocharged petrol unit with a volume of 1.4 liters and a maximum output of 132 kW. The torque of 270 Nm reliably hits the seat every time the five-speed sequential gearbox is changed, thanks to which the vehicle reaches 100 km/h in less than 7 seconds and will be able to accelerate further up to a final value of 225 km/h. Abarth also focused on the aspect of environmental friendliness. The paper consumption of 6.5 l/100 km and the production of 151 grams of CO 2 sound promising, but think for yourself, who would drive for consumption in the Abarth 695 Competizione?
