Tata introduced a handsome concept in Australia

India's Tata , in collaboration with its Australian importer Fusion Automotive , presented a special off-road pickup concept based on the Xenon model at the National 4×4 & Outdoors fair.

The design of the Tuff Truck is the responsibility of Julian Quincey , who coincidentally also heads the sports department of HSV, which falls under the Holden brand. The Australian designer managed to create a really interesting piece of work – a basic Xenon pickup would probably be something few people would look for in a concept. The dominant element of the matte black pickup is the twenty-inch wheels, shod with off-road tires, and the increased ground clearance. There are elements typical for most off-road vehicles – an additional light ramp on the bumper and on the roof and a winch.

Under the hood appears a 2.2 diesel four-cylinder with 150 horsepower, which can also be found in the standard version of the Xenon pickup. A five-speed manual transmission takes care of power transmission to all wheels. Even though the car is still in the conceptual stage , it doesn't have to stay that way for long. The Indian automaker is reportedly considering producing a limited number of Tuff Truck models.
