Spyker D12 Beijing-to-Paris – Production SUV next year!

After the debacle of trying to save Saab , the Dutch Spyker is knocking around relatively quickly and plans to launch a second completely new car, which could be shown to the world in March 2014 at the Geneva Motor Show. It will be a super-luxury SUV with a sporty orientation.

The car company Spyker presented the concept of its very first SUV back in 2006 at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. The car was called the D12 Peking-to-Paris Concept and its photos can be found below the article. Since then, there have been speculations from time to time about the preparation of his serial form, but in the end it never happened. This time it looks very promising!

The Dutch small-series manufacturer has teamed up with the Chinese brand Youngman , which will provide the necessary funds for the development and start-up of the car's production. Speaking about his planned SUV, Spyker management says: “No one has brought a mid-engined, four-door, all-wheel drive super sports car to market. Our car will be very usable for daily driving , but at the same time it will be a real beast .''

Among the unconfirmed information is the use of a gasoline V6 with a power of around 375 horsepower , which will be installed under the hood of the base model of the B6 Venator brand. On the contrary, among the confirmed information is the assumption of the production of up to 1,000 units of the exclusive SUV, among whose biggest markets Spyker counts China and Russia.

The new SUV will be the third model in the Dutch manufacturer's range. This currently includes only the large A8 Aileron and its open Spyder version. At the beginning of 2014, however, the aforementioned B6 Venator will be added, followed by the B6 Venator Spyder .
