The American concern General Motors is preparing for the arrival of two of its new medium-sized pick-ups. Before the end of this year, siblings Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon should be introduced.
The GM concern released the first teaser and press release regarding the new Colorado and Canyon . The teaser only shows a small part of the front of the cars, and the press release does not provide any specific technical information. General Motors just wants to screw us up.
However, we do know that both cars were designed to be capable, versatile and fuel-efficient alternatives to large pickups like the Chevrolet Silverado , GMC Sierra or rival Ford F-150 , or RAM 1500 . These are new models that will reportedly also get new power units.
The American Chevrolet Colorado is to be presented as a sporty workhorse and will be very similar in design to the Chevrolet / Holden Colorado , which recently entered international markets. On the contrary, the GMC Canyon will appear as a professional with a touch of luxury.
We can expect the presentation of the Colorado and Canyon models at the end of this year at one of the American auto shows, while their production will begin at the factory in Missouri in early 2014. Prices and technical specifications are yet to be announced.
