SsangYong Actyon has undergone significant modernization

When the SsangYong Actyon arrived on the market in 2005, many people were shocked by its appearance. In fact, so much so that many did not even realize that Actyon actually founded a new class of "off-road coupes" . That is, the class where the BMW X6 is so fondly called the founder. However, after eight years, it's time to ditch the controversial look, and that's why the New Acyton arrives !

And you can actually find the word New in the title. Most likely, it aims to sufficiently differentiate the old and new model . However, the Korean automaker would certainly have succeeded without it – just look at the design of both cars. The modernized design has a front part completely taken over from the Actyon Sports (somewhere Korando Sports) pickup truck . In addition to it, the compact SUV will also receive new wheel designs, modified thresholds and roof rails.

In the interior, the 4.45 m long SUV also received elements from the Sports pickup. For example, the central or instrument panel is completely new. The manufacturer also promises higher quality materials, processing and even richer equipment.

Under the hood, a 2.0 e-XDI200 diesel unit will appear with an output of 150 hp at 4000 rpm and a maximum torque of 360 Nm between 1500-2800 rpm. There will also be four-wheel drive, which the driver can easily control from the interior of the model, and a choice between manual and automatic transmission.

The modernized model will go on sale next year. Whether we will see it in Europe is still in the stars…
