Tesla Model S – First piece delivered to Europe!

Tesla Motors has brought to Europe the very first example of its Model S electric sedan, which will roam Norwegian roads. Its owner was the Norwegian environmental activist Frederic Hauge, who has many years of experience with electric cars.

Frederic Hauge is among the passionate lovers of electric cars and in 1986 he co-founded the non-profit organization Bellona Foundation. Hauge bought his first electric car in 1989, but thanks to his repeated refusal to pay tolls, it was confiscated countless times. After a few years of Hauge always buying his car back and refusing to pay tolls, Norway decided to abolish tolls for electric cars for good.
The first European example of the Tesla Model S belongs to the Signature Edition series, while only 500 examples of this version will be destined for Europe. The largest number of vehicles will go to Norway, where electric cars are subsidized and can use bus lanes.
As a reminder, the Tesla Model S is a large luxury sedan with a length of 5 meters, which is available in three versions. The basic version offers a battery with a capacity of 60 kWh and a decent range of 500 kilometers, the more powerful version has a battery with 85 kWh and the top Performance also has a battery with 85 kWh and the best equipment. All versions accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds.
