Audi presented the extremely economical A3

Audi meets increasingly strict environmental limits. In the fight against them, it is preparing to launch a series of economical Audi ultra models . And the first swallow will be the A3 1.6 TDI hatchback.

The automaker describes it as its most economical production model. Under the hood is a four-cylinder diesel 1.6 TDI with an output of 110 hp, which is washed with a curb weight of 1205 kg. This is also one of the cost-saving measures.

The others are improved aerodynamics (use of elements of the S line package), 15 mm lower ground clearance, special tires with a size of 205/55 R16 and a longer permanent gear. Result? Paper consumption of 3.2 l/100 km and 85 g of CO 2 , which will be released per 1 km. The real range of the A3 ultra with a fuel tank of 50 liters is thus up to 1500 km.

But these values are not redeemed by dynamism. Thanks to weight savings and 5 hp more power, the acceleration value has decreased (0-100 km/h in 10.2 s) and the maximum speed (200 km/h) has increased .

In Germany, the A3 ultra starts at 25,200 euros (approx. 655,000 CZK), while you can order a three-door version, as well as a more practical Sportback.
