The ravages of time are unstoppable. Although it seems like yesterday when the Fiat Grande Punto was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the truth is that eight years have already passed since its premiere. And you can tell on Punt, despite two significant modernizations. The sportier version of Sporting is interested in reviving at least a little.
It mainly targets younger customers, which it wants to win over with the help of new thresholds, a decent rear spoiler, sixteen-inch wheels and a chrome exhaust tip. Less visible is the darkening of the front headlights and the black gloss roof . The interior is equipped with a sports steering wheel, new dashboard decor and leather shift knob and handbrake lever.
Despite the fact that the model has sporting ambitions, which is evidenced by the installation of a sports suspension , a regular four-cylinder 1.4 petrol will appear under the hood. The weaker one has a power of 77 hp, the stronger one has 105 hp. The model will be available with three and five doors, the base price is 12,355 pounds (approx. 374,000 CZK). And an important piece of news at the end – the Punto Sporting will only be available in the UK.
