Cadillac is planning to change its logo

The American Cadillac commissioned its designers to create a new form of the classic logo . It won't be the first time that this manufacturer has edited it, but now it is an attempt to change the perception of the car company and its image. However, let's not expect a completely different logo.

As we already informed you a few days ago, Cadillac is preparing a new flagship sedan that would compete against German competitors BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz S Class . A design preview of this model should be shown at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance next month, and it will carry a new logo on the hood.

The car company's management had several surveys done on how potential customers perceive its logo and found that most people consider it outdated . The problematic element is said to be the laurel wreath . It should therefore disappear from the design of the new logo and the brand should then be known only under a simple coat of arms.

At the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance , however, we will see a kind of " concept " of the new logo, with which Cadillac wants to test the reactions of the public. If the proposal passes, it will appear on production cars in 2015 at the earliest.
