The 2014 Subaru WRX STI will be unveiled in Frankfurt

The Japanese automaker Subaru will present the WRX STI Concept at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show. This will actually be the future successor of the current generation of the WRX STI model, which has been on the market for some years now. The automaker says about the future WRX STI that it will impress from the front with a rugged look that resembles a bull. All this is complemented by wide and muscular fenders, emphasizing the high performance hidden under the hood.

From the first images, some aggressive elements of the vehicle are evident, including, for example, a hood with a large opening for air intake to the engine. When viewed from behind, the four yellow tailpipes of the exhaust system or the large diffuser are visible. The only thing missing here is the typical rear wing, which will be replaced by the already mentioned diffuser. For those who are interested in the dimensions of the car, they are 4,520 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width and 1,390 mm in height.

Under the hood of the new WRX STI, the typical four-cylinder 2.5-liter boxer gasoline engine can be expected, while the car will continue to use "Symmetrical AWD" permanent all-wheel drive. Driving stability and top-quality properties are thus again literally guaranteed. The Subaru WRX STI will also experience a slight reduction in weight compared to the previous generation, which is primarily due to the roof components made of carbon fiber.
