Electric Volkswagen e-up! we introduced it to you more than a quarter of a year ago, when it was shown to selected individuals at a closed event at the car company's headquarters. As the date of the September public premiere gradually approaches, we have more information available.

So, for example, the most important one – how much will an electric fart cost. And you better grab something. Volkswagen demands 26,900 euros (approx. 696,000 CZK)! That's 2.5 times more than the regular Up! and for comparison – the Nissan Leaf, which is two classes larger , starts at 23,790 euros (approx. 615,000 CZK) with a rented battery, or 29,690 euros (approx. 768,000 CZK) with a purchased battery.

The small e-up! is powered by an electric motor with an output of 82 hp and a maximum torque of 210 Nm. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 12.4 seconds and the speedometer needle stops at 130 km/h. Lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 18.7 kWh are located under the floor and allow the electric Up! to have a maximum range of 160 km. Volkswagen says it only takes 30 minutes to charge the batteries to 80% capacity.
