Slowly but surely, the current generation of the sharp model WRX STI (formerly Impreza WRX STI) is getting ready for automotive retirement. This is indicated not only by the concept from this spring , but also by numerous test prototypes of the new generation, scattered around the world.
And what's the best way to say goodbye to a departing model? After all, a special edition , as Subaru did it itself. The tS Type RA version is special in several ways. It's definitely the body styling. There are only three colors to choose from – orange Tangerine, white Satin or typical blue Mica. With it, the customer will receive a black front lollipop in combination with black mirror covers and beautiful black wheels . The interior boasts sports seats, a leather steering wheel and side skirts with the tS logo.
If that wasn't enough for someone, they have the option of choosing the NBR Challenge Package . The latter will add a distinctive rear carbon spoiler, black eighteen-inch BBS forged aluminum wheels with Bridgestone Potenza RE070 tires and sports seats from the well-known company Recaro.
Technically, at first glance, everything is the same – the turbocharged two-liter has an output of 305 horsepower and, together with a six-speed manual transmission, transmits power to all wheels. But it wouldn't be Subaru if it didn't sharpen the model at least a little. This time, the changes affected the steering gear , which is faster and responds better to changes in direction. The chassis boasts modified struts, shock absorbers and springs, and modified Brembo brakes ensure safe stopping.
Subaru will produce only 300 units of the special sedan, and only 200 of them can be equipped with the NBR Challenge Package. Orders begin to be accepted in Japan (which is the only country where the model will be officially sold) on August 25th. The basic price is 4,410,000 yen (approx. 880,000 CZK).
