BMW has modernized the entire 5 series

For the fifth year now, BMW has offered the 5 Series – a model that competes with the Audi A6 or the Mercedes E-Class . In order for BMW to continue to be enough for the German couple and again to escape the nagging Japanese, the 5 series received a decent modernization .

Apparently, there were no big skirmishes. The front bumper is new, which optically evokes a smaller "three", the radiator grille was modified, the side indicators now have their position in the mirrors, and the rear of the sedan or station wagon received one extra silver strip. The graphics of the headlights were also slightly modified. A traditional facelift innovation is the offer of new colors and designs of alloy wheels .

The interior has perhaps undergone an even milder modernization than the exterior. You will notice minor changes in the iDrive multimedia system in version 4.2 and in the area of storage spaces, the capacity of which has been increased. In the GT version, there was also an increase in the volume of the luggage compartment by 60 liters (newly equal to 500 liters).

In the engine compartment we will find a new basic diesel engine with a volume of two liters, which BMW will offer as the 518d . The model's output is 143 horsepower, while consumption should not exceed 4.5 l/100 km and CO2 emissions per 1 km above 119 g. From the new model year, you will feel much more confident in the 520d version. Both the sedan and station wagon get standard all-wheel drive.

New in the equipment range are the Luxury Line and Modern Line versions and adaptive headlights with LED diodes.
