BMW is testing the new M235i performance coupe, it has been spotted without camouflage

Most die-hard fans of the Munich brand BMW are waiting again for some fun coupe, like the BMW 1M Coupé . And so far it looks very good, as the long-discussed M235i model , which is supposed to become the spiritual successor of the 1M Coupé, has been caught almost without camouflage.

The upcoming BMW M235i will feature an evolutionary design, and it's very notable that the new coupe won't have much in common with the 1 Series, despite being based on it. The expected M235i will offer new bumpers, a redesigned front fascia and all-new headlights. The exterior will be strictly 2 Series only, but the interior will take over a lot of things from the 1 Series hatchback. In practice, this means that in the cabin of the M235i we will find hexagon/alcantara upholstery, a sports steering wheel and hexagon aluminum trim with blue or gloss black accents.

Under the hood of the M235i we will probably find the same power unit as in the M135i . Specifically, we are talking about a 3.0 -liter six-cylinder gasoline engine with an output of 320 horsepower and a torque of 450 Nm. The sharp M135i hatchback accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, so the coupe could be a second faster .

The new BMW M235i should go into production in November this year, so it is possible that the world premiere could take place soon, namely at the Frankfurt exhibition grounds .
