The bullish SUV will be presented in serial form during 2017

The Italian brand, belonging to the Audi car concern, is celebrating its 50th anniversary these days . Lamborghini itself gave itself a gift for this event – a unique Egoista model , which is essentially a fighter jet, as it is a single seater. However, during the mentioned celebrations, the serial production of the first ever SUV with a "bull on the hood" was also confirmed.

Finally, all the long-term speculations were put to rest, thanks to the head of Audi himself, Rupert Stadler , who pronounced the verdict and pointed out that the production Urus could reach the markets during 2017 . As a reminder – the concept Urus was presented last year at the Beijing Auto Show. Considered to be the spiritual successor to the LM002 , the Urus prototype will offer an unspecified 600 horsepower engine, a dual-clutch transmission, and permanent all-wheel drive. In addition, it also has, for example, adjustable suspension, 24-inch alloy wheels, four exhaust tips or a diffuser.

According to the first rumors, possibly information, the serial Urus should get an eight-cylinder engine with two electric motors under the hood – the total output could be around 680 horsepower . Lamborghini's director, Stephan Winkelmann , stated: "The Urus will possibly offer two types of powertrain". Unfortunately, the management of the brand did not go into details, and therefore we have to wait another year for verified information.
