The Volkswagen Amarok R-Style will be presented in Wörthersee

The German automaker Volkswagen has announced the introduction of a special version of the Amarok model at the Wörthersee event. The large pick-up is called the Concept R-Style , with the main change being a bold body kit and GTI-style color stripes.

Although it is a sports concept for now, it could be a mass-produced sports variant of the car in the future. Under the hood of the Amarok R-Style model will be a 3.0 V6 diesel engine with an output of 272 horsepower (200 kW) and a torque of 600 Nm. The technicians have combined the engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Thanks to this, the VW Amarok R-Style should accelerate from 0 – 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds , the maximum speed is not yet known. The chassis has been lowered and the cast 22-inch wheels with 295/35 tires are also new. However, the wheels themselves are so large that the wheel arches of the car had to be specially widened by 60 mm.

Compared to the standard version, the exterior of the R-Style concept features three air intakes, wider side sills and carbon accessories. At the rear, you can see a carbon diffuser from and a pair of chrome exhaust tips.

The interior received black-red-white colored accessories in GTI style. But that's not all. The crew will be greeted by shell seats, carbon accessories on the dashboard, a racing steering wheel or a 500 Watt audio system .
