The smaller GLK will get a gasoline four-cylinder for the first time in its history

The Mercedes-Benz GLK has been sold in a modernized form on our market for some time now. If you don't remember the exact date of the debut, it took place last year at the New York Fairgrounds. Today, the German brand announced that its smallest SUV will get a gasoline four-cylinder engine under the hood .

Did you know that it will be the first time in the history of the GLK model that a four-cylinder gasoline engine will be available? That's right, and the new GLK 250 4MATIC will be offered to European customers from June 2013. Specifically, it is a turbocharged 2.0 -liter gasoline four-cylinder with an output of 211 horsepower and a torque of 350 Nm. The engine also has the standard ECO Start/Stop system and is connected to the seven-speed 7G TRONIC PLUS gearbox, which drives all wheels.

The Stuttgart automaker has stated that the new GLK 250 4MATIC will accelerate to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 215 km/h. The combined fuel consumption of the two-liter four-cylinder is in the range of 7.5-7.7 l/100 km and emissions are 176 g CO2/km. From June 2013, the Mercedes-Benz GLK will offer a total of six diesel units and two petrol power units on the European market. All versions will have the latest information systems.

The modernized Mercedes-Benz GLK 250 4MATIC will have a starting price of 44,149 Euros (approximately 1,142,000 crowns) on the German market.
