BYD presents a new version of its SUV

Chinese manufacturers , known all over the world for their sense of plagiarism , are slowly beginning to understand that without their own design it simply won't make it to Europe. Qoros became the first swallow in Geneva . At the upcoming Shanghai Auto Show, another model will be presented that doesn't just want to copy anymore.

The BYD S7 is a modified version of the BYD S6 SUV . Do these names mean nothing to you? Don't despair, because we won't see this car in Europe for at least a few decades. However, it can be used to beautifully demonstrate the progress of Chinese designers. While the S6 was just a cheap copy of the Lexus RX , the S7 already brings its own design ideas. So far, it can only be seen on the front part, because we cannot see other parts of the body through photos.

The interior also seems to be better and more modern than the S6. All this despite the fact that a piece of the steering wheel is missing due to some error in photoshop. However, if we leave this aside, the S7 offers a modern concept of the center console with a large and most likely touch screen , and the manufacturer promises better materials and processing.

As the first SUV from BYD, the S7 will also get a completely new two-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 210 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. The only optional transmission was a six-speed gearbox with the additional designation DCT.
