Kia presented the modernized Optima

The mid-range sedan, the Kia Optima , has made a dent in the world, especially in the US. European customers are not so fond of it. This may also be the reason for the introduction of the modernized version on the American continent.

The biggest design change is the use of new front and rear bumpers . The front lights are newly equipped with LED diodes for daytime running lights, and the rear lights also received LEDs. A new drainage edge on the trunk lid also found a place here.

Inside, there is a new 4.3-inch display on the instrument panel and an optional eight-inch screen on the center panel . For better sound, an eight-speaker audio system from Infiniti is also listed as extras. Safety will be newly ensured by a blind spot monitoring system (for an extra charge) and a rear parking camera (also for an extra charge).

Two petrol engines continue to provide propulsion. The LX, EX and SX versions have a 2.4 GDI , and the SX-T version also has a turbocharged two-liter GDI . Both engines are connected to a six-speed automatic. The SX-T version is also the only one to offer the Drive Mode Select system.
