Buick modernized the Regal sedan

Despite numerous speculations, the modernization of the popular Insignia is still awaited. In contrast, the American version of the Insignia – the Buick Regal – received a facelift like a bolt from the blue.

Mainly the details changed for the new model year. The front bumper, ventilated hood, LED diodes for daytime running lights in the front, chrome bar between the rear lights, which by the way are also equipped with LEDs, are new.

The interior received a modified center console with a display of the modernized IntelliLink system. The audio control buttons have been reduced, the air conditioning and seat heating are now controlled by touch. A 4.2-inch LCD screen has been added to the instrument panel. As usual with a facelift, materials, quality have also been improved and new colors and materials have been added.

Under the hood, there will be a 2.4-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with a capacity of 185 hp, assisted by an electric motor with a capacity of 15 hp. In the more powerful version Regal Turbo or Regal GS (so it is also differentiated in appearance) there is a place for a turbocharged four-cylinder 2.0 engine with an output of 262 hp. The Vezre Turbo and GS are also newly available with optional all-wheel drive, provided by a Haldex inter-axle clutch.
