The German Mercedes is expanding the AMG brand into all categories. After the smallest hatchback in the offer, the smallest sedan in the brand 's offer also comes with the three magic letters.
As in the case of the A45 AMG , a four-cylinder with a turbo and a volume equal to two liters takes care of the drive. As Mercedes has stated before, it is "the most powerful turbocharged four-cylinder in the world." Even in the CLA 45 AMG, it has 360 horsepower and a maximum torque of 450 Nm. The transmission and the type of drive are also the same – the seven-speed dual-clutch AMG Speedshift DCT transmits power to all wheels.
The CLA even shares dynamic characteristics with the smaller A45 AMG. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes place in 4.6 seconds and the maximum speed is limited to 250 km/h. Combined, the sedan should not consume more than 6.9 l. For a better driving experience, Mercedes installed a three-stage ESP in the car.
Visually, the CLA from AMG has new eighteen-inch wheels , modified bumpers, a diffuser with new exhaust tips, a decent rear spoiler or a slight lowering of the chassis. In the interior, look for sports seats, carbon or leather accessories, two-tone upholstery or a sports steering wheel.
Enthusiasts and potential buyers will see the sporty CLA for the first time at the New York Auto Show , which starts next week.
