Engine range of the new Cadillac CTS

The General Motors concern is preparing as many as five world premieres for the upcoming New York Auto Show . One of them will also be the impatiently awaited successor to the Cadillac CTS .

He revealed himself to us a little more and at the same time differently than we are used to. Instead of the classic appearance teasers, spy photos or officially unofficial leaks, Cadillac served us the full range of engines that will be used in the overseas version of the CTS.

The new six-cylinder 3.6 with double turbocharging will be a clear highlight and at the same time a point of pride. It has a power of 426 hp and a maximum torque of 583 Nm , which makes it the most powerful V6 in the history of the GM concern. The engine will be coupled with an eight-speed automatic, which will enable acceleration to 100 km/h in under 5 seconds and a maximum speed of 274 km/h.

In addition to this engine, there will also be a non-turbocharged six-cylinder 3.6 with a power of 224 hp and a torque of 373 Nm and a four-cylinder turbocharged two-liter with a power of 276 hp and a torque of 400 Nm. Both engines will also be available with AWD.

Recently, the ecological side of things has not been left out even with powerful and luxury cars. So, to meet the obligations, I'll mention that the turbocharged six-cylinder consumes an average of about 14 liters per 100 km, the naturally aspirated six-cylinder about 10.4 L/100 km and the turbocharged four-cylinder at about 11.6 L/100 km. All data applies to models with rear-wheel drive.
