The Holden Cruze has been modernized

Automotive globalization is one of the most used terms in connection with new cars these days. Globalization is beautifully demonstrated by the GM concern – not only is the Cruze sold under the European and American Chevrolet banner, but also under the Holden brand .

The Holden Cruze is only for Australia, where facelifted versions will arrive in the coming days and weeks. The main change is the placement of a more powerful 1.6 unit under the hood of the SRi and SRi-V models . Compared to the previous turbocharged 1.4, the turbocharged 1.6 has an output of 182 hp and a torque of 230 Nm. In the new Cruze, it can work with a six-speed manual or the second generation six-speed automatic.

In addition to the new engine, the SRi and SRi-V versions have more aggressive front and rear bumpers , side skirts and an aerodynamic rear spoiler. The chassis was also modified specifically for the Australian market.

The mid-level CDX is now only available as a sedan, and again a new comfort chassis has been developed specifically for the Australian market. In addition, the CDX version also offers a rear parking camera and keyless access to the car. Under the hood can be a petrol 1.8 with a power of 143 hp or a two-liter diesel with a power of 165 hp.

The basic CD grade is now called Equipe . In addition to the new name, air conditioning, a six-speaker audio system and the Holden MyLink infotainment system with a seven-inch screen are standard. After all, it can be found in all trim levels. The Equipe can be equipped with a petrol 1.8 with 143 hp, a two-liter diesel with 165 hp and also a turbocharged 1.4 with 142 hp.
