Subaru shows the Viziv concept in Geneva

It's only been a few years since the Japanese Subaru came up with its first Boxer-type diesel . The engine became very successful soon after its introduction, so it's clear that Subaru is trying to replicate this piece with a new body that once again contains the incriminated diesel.

The Subaru Viziv is powered by the Hybrid SI-DRIVE system, which consists of a 2.0 Boxer four-cylinder diesel engine , two independent rear electric motors , one front electric motor and a CVT transmission . While the rear electric motors are only responsible for power distribution, the front motor also acts as a power generator.

AWD all-wheel drive takes care of power transmission on the road. It is not without interest that when the steering wheel is turned, more power goes to the rear axle, when driving straight it is the exact opposite. The system of cameras , which are located around the car and map external conditions, contributes to maximum driving safety and better driving economy.

The design of the 4,320 mm long , 1,900 mm wide and 1,510 mm high SUV aims to meet the tastes of today's customers who want a stylish yet compact SUV. Twenty-inch wheels, Mistral silver metallic or upward-opening doors ensure style, while the aforementioned external dimensions provide agility and good maneuverability.

The interior of the Viziv concept is designed for four passengers, who have very good access to all places through the large doors. The dashboard itself is very futuristic and consists of two large displays .

With this concept, Subaru definitely shows its potential and also its desire to join the Range Rover in the production of a compact and stylish SUV . The question is whether the brand is prestigious enough for such a thing.
