The darkest nightmares of all fans of American classics with a mustang in the emblem will probably come true. Their idol will get a four-cylinder under the hood on the occasion of its official entry into the European market.
It will have a volume of 2.3 liters and, of course, EcoBoost technology . The basis of the new four-cylinder can be found in the Ford Focus ST and its 2.0 EcoBoost unit. The Mustang should reach around 300 horsepower with a four-cylinder engine. The spies have not yet revealed which transmission Ford will choose.
Of course, even in the new generation, the classic eight-cylinder will remain under the hood. It will be offered as an alternative to the four-cylinder, which could also appear in the upcoming Ford Focus RS .
The official entry of the new Mustang to the European markets is planned already in a year , on the occasion of the launch of the new generation on the overseas market.
